Mr. Cosmas Vamvalis is an Electrical Engineer (1991, Democritus University of Thrace), with an MSc in Integrated Manufacturing Systems (1992, University of Birmingham – U.K). He is the Chairman of the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS), Vice-Chairman of the Hellenic Maintenance Society (HMS), the HMS representative in EFNMS, Vice-Chairman in the European Maintenance Assessment Committee (EMAC) and BoD member of the Association of Information Technology companies of Northern Greece (SEPVE). His areas of expertise include business planning as well as coordination and implementation activities in numerous commercial and research projects (e.g., H2020 SatisFactory, Composition, BOOST4.0 and IQONIC). He has coordinated the implementation of the H2020 mainDSS project and was the Technical Manager of H2020/Z-Fact0r and Z-Bre4k projects.
Mr. George Efremidis is a Mechanical Engineer (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). He is the Vice- Chairman of Hellenic Maintenance Society (HMS) and the President of the organization committee of the annual Maintenance Forum 2004-2021. His main areas of expertise include business development and re-engineering tasks in the asset management area, promoting the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance Projects. He is an expert in business planning and development, marketing planning and development as well as quality assurance and innovation management. He has participated in numerous commercial and research projects (e.g., H2020 SatisFactory, Composition, Boost4.0, Qu4lity). He is also the company’s responsible to deal with IPR issues emerging during the development of new products, such as mainDSS.
Dr. Ifigeneia Metaxa is a Chemical Engineer (2000, Department of Chemical Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Quality Assurance (2008, Hellenic Open University) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2006, AUTH). She has more than 15 years of experience in quality assurance, project management, as well as in health & safety and R&D consulting. Dr. Metaxa has been actively involved in numerous research and commercial projects in various manufacturing environments. She participated in the SatisFactory and COMPOSITION projects while she currently participates in 3 H2020 projects (BOOST 4.0, Qu4lity, LEVEL-UP). She is an active member of the European Digital Learning Network (D-Learn), an initiative supporting skills’ development through digital education and learning technologies, as Chair of the Vocational Education and Training sector.
Dr. Jovana Milenkovic is a Mechanical Engineer with an MSc in the field of Production Information Technologies and Management (2009, Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Nis, Serbia) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2015, Chemical Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and CERTH/LPRE). She is experienced in using different software programs for CAD, mesh modelling and Computer Fluid Dynamics. She is experienced in team management tools for administrative and coordination purposes and she applies quality standards and checks to all steps of the processes she manages. She has been involved in several H2020 research projects (SatisFactory, COMPOSITION, Z-Fact0r, Z-Bre4k, IQONIC, DIGIPRIME) in user needs and requirement analysis, development of DSS and FMECA tools, Beta and Factory Acceptance Tests and exploitation and innovation management.
Dr. Thanasis Naskos is a Computer Scientist (2011, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Information Systems (2013, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD in Computer Science (2017, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). His main research interests are in the areas of smart maintenance, distributed data management, big data mining and virtualized resource elasticity handling. Dr. Naskos has been involved in numerous research projects from diverse research fields, i.e., BOOST4.0 (H2020, Big Data Analysis), Z-BRE4K (H2020, Predictive Maintenance), Level-Up (H2020, Factory Assets’ Upgrade), TraMOOC (Η2020, Machine Translation), OpenSME (FP7-SME, Software Reuse). Currently, he works as the leading Data Scientist and AI expert in the R&D department of ATLANTIS, being responsible for the implementation of company’s Predictive Maintenance Models and the respective software platform (Smart Maintenance Platform), and the development of the needed bridges and connectors to connect the platform to the Industrial Data Space ecosystem.
Ms. Kalliroi Marini is an Electrical and Computer Engineer (2008, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Informatics and Management (2008, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She is an experienced R&D consultant and engineer with expertise in project management and innovation tasks. She has been involved in numerous H2020 research projects from diverse research fields, i.e., ECOPOTENTIAL (Space, Big Data Analytics), BOOST4.0 (Big Data), Z-BRE4K (Predictive Maintenance), Qu4lity (Zero-Defect Manufacturing). She has experience in the development of open-source software for a variety of applications and is familiar with C, Matlab, Python and R. In the past, she also participated in many training and mentoring events supporting efforts of scientific teams and start-ups in their way to bring their products from the lab to the market. Currently, she works as AI Engineer and Data Scientist in the R&D department of ATLANTIS, applying data science techniques (ML/AI, statistical modeling) for the development of new predictive/prescriptive maintenance and Industry4.0 solutions for smart manufacturing.
Ms. Vasiliki Charisi is an Electrical and Computer Engineer (2013, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Information and Communication Technology Systems (2016, International Hellenic University). She has been involved in numerous R&D projects as Data Scientist using commercial and/or open-source software, developing and deploying the company’s solutions in local and cloud installations. She is responsible for the implementation of certain s/w subsystems, as well as for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for numerous H2020 projects (SatisFactory, COMPOSITION, Z-Bre4k, Qu4lity, Level-Up, DIGIPRIME). She is also specialized in areas such as Cloud Computing Technologies, Virtualization Technologies (Docker), NoSQL Databases, Mathematical Packages and Timeseries Databases.
Mr. George Athanasiadis holds a degree in Computer Science (2018, Department of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). His main research interests are in the areas of smart maintenance and big data modelling and processing while he currently works as a junior Data Scientist in the R&D Department of ATLANTIS. He has participated in various H2020 research projects (QU4LITY, Level-Up, DigiPrime) and is experienced with web applications and .NΕΤ development services. He works with the following languages and technologies: Java, C, C++, Python, R, PHP, SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, SPARQL.
