Mr. Cosmas Vamvalis is Chairman in the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS), CEO in Atlantis Engineering S.A., BoD member of the Alexander Innovation Zone (AIZ), BoD member in the Greek Exporters Association (SEVE), General Secretary in the Association of Information Technology companies of Northern Greece (SEPVE). Electrical Engineer with M.Sc. degree in Integrated Manufacturing Systems from the University of Birmingham, U.K. He has worked for Land Rover, UK during 1992-1994 as software developer, for Apco Control valves 1995-1996 as production manager, for Logismos 1996-1998 as software developer, and for Hellenic Fabrics 1998-2000 as logistics manager.
From 2000 till now he is the Managing Director of Αtlantis Εngineering SA. His areas of expertise include business planning as well as coordination and implementation activities in numerous commercial and research projects such as H2020 SatisFactory (iDSS), COMPOSITION (Manufacturing Decision Support System), BOOST4.0 (Big Data Analytics), RE4DY (Federated Predictive Maintenance). He has coordinated the implementation of the H2020 mainDSS project (Decision Support Engine) and was the Technical Manager of H2020/Z-Fact0r and Z-BRE4K projects.
Mr. George Efremidis is a Mechanical Engineer MSc (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) , CCO of ATLANTIS Engineering SA and Chairman of Hellenic Maintenance Society (HMS). He is actively involved in the annual Maintenance Forum (2004-2023) as a President of the organization committee.
Since 1996, he has been working as a maintenance engineer expert and consultant in projects for the local Greek market and for international companies in Europe (Spain, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Romania, and Cyprus) and MENA region (Bahrein, Oman, Qatar, and UAE).
His main areas of specialization lie in the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance, as long as optimizing the maintenance processes of industrial facilities and ensuring their efficiency and reliability. Furthermore, his vast professional experience includes the development and application of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Predictive Maintenance tools. He is an expert in business planning and development, marketing planning and development as well as quality assurance and innovation management.
He has also participated in numerous commercial and H2020 research projects e.g. SatisFactory (iDSS), PLATOON (Predictive Maintenance), COMPOSITION (Manufacturing Decision Support System), BOOST4.0 (Big Data), QU4LITY (DSS and Strategies for ZDM).
Dr. Thanasis Naskos, a Computer Scientist, earned his PhD in Computer Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2017. His academic journey has seamlessly transitioned into the industry, where he currently holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Atlantis Engineering. Dr. Naskos brings a wealth of experience, having been deeply engaged in numerous research projects across diverse fields. Notable projects include BOOST4.0 (H2020, Big Data Analysis), Z-BRE4K (H2020, FMECA), Level-Up (H2020, Predictive Maintenance). In addition to his industrial leadership, Dr. Naskos is committed to advancing data analysis and innovation within the realm of Industry 4.0.
Dr. Jovana Milenkovic is a Mechanical Engineer with an MSc in the field of Production Information Technologies and Management (2009, Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Nis, Serbia) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2015, Chemical Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and CERTH/LPRE). She has experience in working with multidisciplinary teams, releasing results, and proposing solutions covering: End User needs, requirement analysis, development of s/w component tools, Beta and Factory Acceptance Tests, exploitation, dissemination and innovation management. She has experience in team management tools for administrative and coordination purposes and currently she has the role
of Head of Project Management of Atlantis R&D department. She has been involved in several H2020 research projects such as Satisfactory (iDSS), Z-Fact0r (Early Stage DSS), Z-BRE4K (FMECA analysis), IQONIC (Defect Detection DSS, Reverse Supply Chain DSS), DIGIPRIME (DSS for Circular Economy).
Ms. Kalliroi Marini is an Electrical and Computer Engineer (2008, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Informatics and Management (2008, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She has experience in the development of open-source software for a variety of applications and she is familiar with C, Matlab, Python and R. In the past, she also participated in many training and mentoring events supporting efforts of scientific teams and start-ups in their way to bring their products from the lab to the market. She is an experienced R&D consultant and engineer with expertise in project management and innovation tasks. She has been involved in numerous H2020 research projects from diverse research fields, i.e. IQONIC (Defect Detection DSS) , Level- Up (Multilevel DSS),QU4LITY (DSS and strategies for Zero-Defect Manufacturing). Currently, she works as AI Engineer and Data Scientist and she is the Head of the R&D department of ATLANTIS, applying data science techniques (ML/AI, statistical modeling) for the development of new predictive/prescriptive maintenance and Industry4.0 solutions for smart manufacturing.
Mr Zisis Kyroudis is a Physicist (2016, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with an MSc in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology (2020, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). He is an experienced researcher, with expertise in Renewable Energy Sources (OPVs) and process optimization. He has been involved in numerous R&D projects as a researcher and project manager, assisting on the development of cutting-edge technologies, communicating with stakeholders and leading dissemination activities. He has participated in HORIZON research projects i.e. EFPF – XAI- FS (X-AI), Level-Up (Multilevel DSS, FMECA), Modul4r (Digital Assistant, Human-centric Explainable DSS), SM4RTENANCE (Associated Ecosystems), Di-Hydro (Predictive Maintenance). Since 2021, he works at ATLANTIS Engineering, assuming the role of Project Manager collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, continuously driving innovations.
Ms. Zoi Chatzichristodoulou possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the School of Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a Master of Science degree in Data and Web Science from the same institution. Her professional background encompasses roles as a software engineer and a data scientist, affording her the capability to excel in the realms of requirement analysis and the interpretation of intricate data sets. Ms. Chatzichristodoulou is an accomplished specialist in the design of communication interfaces for data exchange and sharing, and she demonstrates proficiency in data analysis and machine learning techniques. Her extensive involvement in numerous H2020 research projects, including WASABI (Sliding Decision Making), MODUL4R (Digital Assistant), PLIADES (Data Compliance and Interoperability), and M4ESTRO (Human Centric Decision Support System), reflects her commitment to cutting-edge innovation and research. Currently, she is an integral part of the ATLANTIS R&D Department, where she serves as a Data Scientist, providing continuous support to the team through her technical expertise and innovative insights.
Ms Ioanna Matouli is a Physicist (2015, University of Ioannina) holding an MSc in Material Chemistry (2020, Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She is experienced in handling several types research tasks and she is capable of using various software programs connected with experimental procedures. In the past, she has been employed as a physics tutor, transferring knowledge to young students. She has been involved in several research projects, i.e. AM2TP (Digital Learning Tools), Be-Digital (Data Analytics, IoT, AR/VR, Blockchain), PreMETS(Predictive Maintenance), DTAM (Digital Transformation, Advanced manufacturing, Big Data, Machine Learning). Presently, she holds a position in the R&D department at Atlantis Engineering, where her responsibilities encompass project management, project implementation and developing of digital learning tools.
Maria Psarodimou holds a Bachelor’s degree with an integrated Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Her professional background revolves around full-stack software development and data analysis, demonstrating a keen interest in innovative areas such as smart maintenance software solutions, machine learning algorithms, and neural networks for predictive and prescriptive maintenance. Maria has been actively contributing, as a developer and technical manager, to several H2020 research initiatives, such as QU4LITY (Remaining Useful Life estimation & Defect Identification), Level-Up (Predictive Maintenance), RE4DY (Federated Learning Predictive Maintenance, IDSA connectors), SM4RTENANCE (Data Spaces and Associated Ecosystems), Di-Hydro (Predictive Maintenance), PLIADES (Data Compliance and Interoperability). Within the ATLANTIS R&D Department, she holds the role of a Full-Stack Software Engineer, providing ongoing support to the team through her technical expertise and insights.
