ATLANTIS ENGINEERING IN COOPERATION WITH DLEARN AND EUROPEAN COMMISION, ORGANIZES EVENT ABOUT VOCATIONAL SKILLS WEEK

In the past few years there has been an escallation in maintenance skills needed in industry, driven primarily by technological changes, but they cannot cope effectivelly with that. Maintenance managers have identified certain skills that technicians and supervisors lack: digital skills, communication skills, ability to operate in teams etc. Due to the small size of maintenance departments, maintenance workers’ skills needs are usually neglected, thus leading to profit loss in the company. It is important to train maintenance team members to advance their skills continuously through involvement of the company with educational and vocational skills providers and organisations. In this way, competitive advantage of the company can be created.

ATLANTIS Engineering supports these efforts as a member in the European organization DLEARN and contributing with an educational event in Thessaloniki: Vocational Skills needed in industries in combination with Internet of things.
